Are you a recruitment specialist looking for a new and exciting role that you can make your own?

This new role within our recruitment team will utilise your specialist recruitment skills to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent for the Central Highlands community, and will lead a small but highly motivated team. No two days will be the same, which can be exciting and challenging all at the same time. If you enjoy managing multiple projects simultaneously, and advising a wide range of internal and external stakeholders whilst also juggling people and process based tasks – then this might be the right opportunity for you to consider!

Central Highlands Regional Council is focused on continuous improvement and investing in its people as a result we are looking for a senior recruitment advisor to join the team.

To be considered for this position, you’ll need to possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with hiring managers and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated exposure to recruiting labour/trade qualified and administrative/customer service roles as well as technical and professional roles.
  • Experience searching for candidates with professional and technical qualifications and the ability to create talent pooling pathways.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, resilient, solution oriented and creative.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Expert level of oral and written communication skills that are clear, concise and professional.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and databases and cloud-based web platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both in groups as well as independently.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to travel, if requested to other area offices in our council region.
