To assist Allied Health Professionals (AHP) in the provision of patient care in the Acute ward, Residential Care Facility, Outpatients, Gym and in the community, and provide support, information and advice to clients on a range of social welfare matters
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Allied Health Assistant to provide support to our team of Allied Health Professionals. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide therapy to individual clients as delegated or under supervision of Allied Health Professionals
- Complete standardized assessments as delegated and within your competence level
- Conduct group therapy programs under the guidance of Allied Health Professionals, monitoring client responses and adjusting programs to meet client needs
- Follow therapist directions, provide timely feedback on interventions, and accurately record clinical notes
- Maintain equipment by performing safety checks, organizing maintenance, monitoring client loans, and ensuring appropriate invoicing
- Monitor and order clinical supplies and equipment, sourcing suppliers and specialists items as needed
- Provide administrative support such as maintaining client education materials, treatment room supplies, patient area tidiness, statistics, and audits
- Complete Allied Health Assistant Core Competencies within first six months and participate in continuing education
