Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Vehicle Fleet (Brisbane)
$46–$48/hour | Full-time Permanent | 8–10 Hour Days | Monday–Friday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join a busy and well-established workshop in Brisbane. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.
A 2IC (Second-in-Command) position is also available for someone with strong leadership qualities and supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Service, maintain, and repair a fleet of heavy vehicles including Prime Movers
2. Diagnose faults and perform repairs on engines, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
3. Conduct regular inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety standards.
4. Work closely with the workshop team to support efficient operations.
5. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
6. Willingness to travel to other depots when needed to support operational demands.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
2. Experience with heavy vehicle fleets, especially Prime Movers
3. Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
4. Ability to work independently and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
5. Leadership experience (if applying for the 2IC role )
6. Safety-focused mindset and reliable work ethic
7. Must have full working rights in Australia

Job Details:

1. Pay: $46–$48/hour , based on experience
2. Full-time, permanent role
3. 8–10 hour shifts , Monday to Friday
4. Medical check required prior to commencement.
