We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Administration Officer to join our very busy assessment teams within the Industry, Development & Southeast Compliance (IDSC) branch. This position will provide administration support services to the assessment teams & staff on a range of matters.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Administration Officer to join our very busy assessment teams within the Industry, Development and Southeast Compliance (IDSC) branch. This position will provide administration support services to the assessment teams, and staff on a range of matters.
The Administration Officer is a role in which you will:
• Undertake task receival, data entry, prioritisation and allocation.
• Support the coordination of events including workshops and meetings.
• Support the coordination of corporate and performance planning and reporting.
• Support the identification and implementation of relevant business improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of ad-hoc advice and reports on business unit activities.
• Interpret and provide advice on departmental procedures that relate to the responsibilities of the position.
• Support the application of Human Resource related activities such as Employee Inductions and personnel record keeping.
• Coordinate facilities, telecommunications and IT related activities.
• Undertake data entry and basic analysis and reporting to support business delivery.
• Interrogate, enter data, maintain and support corporate systems and databases.
• Set priorities and monitor workflow.
• Provide customers with information about services.
• Provide support to staff with the delivery of Business Centre projects and milestones.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
This position requires:
• Demonstrated administrative and secretariat competence in a professional office and the ability to present written communication in a clear, succinct and accurate manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to deal professionally with departmental staff and external clients at all organisational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and use appropriate information management systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience in Microsoft Sharepoint and Office 365 will be viewed favourably.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and discretion with regard to information and sensitive materials.
