Assistant Centre Administration Officer - Government Contract

ABOUT THE ROLE


  • Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to assist in the effective operation of a large regional centre.

  • Work closely with centre leadership and operational teams.

  • Manage documentation, filing, record keeping, and administrative processes with accuracy and discretion.

  • Coordinate communication across internal departments and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, confidentiality requirements and operational protocols.

  • Maintain and update internal systems and support data entry tasks as required.

  • 6-month temporary contract with a view to supporting broader centre operations.

  • Location: Regional New South Wales (full site details provided upon shortlisting).

  • Pay rate: $33 per hour + Super.

  • 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 7 hours per day.


ABOUT YOU


  • Tertiary qualified in Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in an administration, clerical, or business support environment, preferably within government or highly regulated sectors.

  • Flexible team player who is versatile and adaptable to the needs of the team and tasks at hand.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous manner.

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and quick to adapt to internal systems and databases.

  • Strong focus on compliance, risk management, and quality assurance.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


  • The pay rate for this role is fixed and cannot be exceeded.

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check, two declaration forms, and provide two reference checks.
