Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join this dynamic team based in Orange, New South Wales. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, and support to clients to promote independence and participation in daily life activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities, activities of daily living (ADLs), sensory and cognitive skills, and environmental factors.
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans that promote meaningful participation in everyday activities.
- Recommending and facilitating the provision of assistive technology, home modifications, and adaptive strategies to enhance independence and safety.
- Collaborating effectively with clients, families, carers, and other health professionals to provide coordinated and holistic care.
- Preparing high-quality clinical documentation, reports, and funding submissions (e.g: NDIS).
- Participating in professional development, and quality improvement activities.
- Working collaboratively with the team to build up the practice
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) .
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of person-centred, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Working with Children Check , National Police Check , and valid Driver's Licence .
- Understanding of NDIS supports and services
- Experience working with clients under NDIS , mental health , or rehabilitation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Australian standards for home modifications and assistive technology.
- Experience using digital health platforms and clinical management software.
