As Head of Engineering, you'll work closely with our CTO and Chief Solutions Architect, with initial support and mentorship while taking increasing ownership of our technical direction. You'll have tangible influence over our product strategy while building innovative, commercially viable solutions in the emerging field of AI governance and regulatory compliance.

• Technical Leadership & Strategy : Supporting the implementation of our technical vision, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and delivers measurable ROI for customers.
• Product Development : Leading the engineering of our Compliance Management Platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Team Building & Management : Supporting a high-performing technical team with best practices and quality assurance.
• Resource Planning : Developing forecasts, hiring plans, and budget requirements to support product roadmap and business growth.
• Commercial Project Delivery : Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining technical excellence.
• Cloud Architecture : Overseeing our infrastructure using modern practices and cost-effective solutions.
• Technology Evaluation : Assessing emerging technologies for potential integration, focusing on practical business applications.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Working with regulatory experts and lawyers to ensure our technology addresses market needs.
• Client Engagement : Participating in technical discussions with key clients and prospects.

• Deep experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, AppSync, Cognito, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Strong understanding of serverless architectures, microservices, API design, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, privacy and data protection standards, and compliance requirements for SaaS applications.
• Experience with various database technologies and data modelling approaches.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, particularly in governance and risk management contexts.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial software products from concept to market.
• Experience managing engineering budgets and resource allocation for maximum ROI.
• Background in startup environments with demonstrated ability to optimize for growth while maintaining quality.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
