We're Hiring: Cleaning Professional
Location: Corps, Family Store, and Philip Street Sites
Employment Type: Part time
Working hours : 15 hours a week
Classification: Miscellaneous Level 2
The role :
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Professional to help us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities—including kitchens, bathrooms, foyers, offices, the worship hall, family store and meeting rooms.
Role Responsibilities:
Your role is essential to the health and wellbeing of our staff, clients, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Vacuuming all carpet and vinyl floor areas
- Spot cleaning doors, handles, and walls
- Cleaning glass windows and doors
- Wiping windowsills
- Sanitising frequently touched surfaces
- Emptying rubbish bins into wheelie bins
- Mopping floors
- Dusting desks and bench surfaces
- Cleaning all areas of the toilets (basins, toilets, taps, urinals, etc.)
We value reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to hygiene and cleanliness.
You must have:
- Relevant experience in Hygiene and Cleaning materials and methods
- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regulations and storage of chemicals
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in a similar role
- Ability to work autonomously
- Must be a self-starter
- Applicants must be a permanent resident looking for a long term employment
- Reliable transport
Requirements of the Role:
- A National Coordinated Criminal History Check is required
- A current QLD Working with Children’s Check (Blue Card) is required
- Physical fitness and energy to meet the demands of the role
- Flexibility to work across three sites:
- Gladstone Corps – 3 hours per week - Friday anytime
- Gladstone Family Store – 3 hours x 2 days per week – Flexibility on days – 6am – 9am
- The Salvation Army’s Philip Street precinct – 3 hours x 2 days per week – Flexibility on day - 430pm – 730pm
