About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Allied Health students by joining our team of teachers on a permanent full-time basis, located at Wagga Wagga Campus.

In this role you will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. Proudly teach the role of an Allied Health professional in the healthcare industry. Lead students to provide therapy to meet client goals, comply with infection prevention and control procedures, undertake documenting and reporting.

Essential Requirements:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Bachelor of applied Science or equivalent.
  • Registered as an Allied Health Professional (eg. Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Dietician, Exercise Physiologist, Speech Pathologist)
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details ) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week 'Paid to Learn' course
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience relevant to your industry

This is a targeted recruitment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in accordance with Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 - Employment of eligible persons. As such, preference will be given to candidates who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. If no suitable candidate is found, other applications may also be considered. Aboriginal candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide “Confirmation of Aboriginality” documentation with their application.

Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.
