About the role
We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As the Manager – Licensee Technical Services, you'll lead the Technical Services team, supporting stakeholders in developing and executing technology solutions for advice and education strategy. You'll also provide technical support for financial advice compliance and legal interpretation.
Your key responsibilities include enhancing advice and education technology at Australian Retirement Trust (ART) to improve the distribution of high-quality advice to our members. You'll support the Adviser Growth teams work with External Financial Advisers (EFA’s), and plan technology support and changes for the Business Unit. You'll also help build the capability and compliance of our financial advisers by enhancing and supporting our financial advice software.
As a leader, you'll ensure your team excels in legislative, legal, and compliance interpretation, enabling ART to adapt to the evolving financial services landscape. You'll prepare for, implement, and review changes to ensure ART’s advice and education proposition is well-positioned. This involves collaborating with stakeholders across various Business Units and Lines of Business to achieve excellent outcomes for our members and advisers.
This is a permanent opportunity. Ideally, we'd like this role to be based in Brisbane , but we're happy to consider candidates in Sydney and Melbourne too.
About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have proven ability to successfully manage sensitive and time-critical administrative and reporting functions.
- Your bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, IT, or other related field, or equivalent work experience, has equipped you with the knowledge needed for this role.
- You have previous experience in leading people and change.
- You have a history of delivering projects efficiently, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
- You demonstrate a high level of problem-solving ability through strong knowledge and understanding of ART products and recommend appropriate solutions where required.
- You have a proven record in personally driving change to effect substantial business improvement.
- Your previous experience in and ability to stay current on relevant legislation and interpret implications for the organisation, acting appropriately within superannuation and/or financial advice, for both current and potential developments, is crucial.
