Diesel Motor Mechanics

Description:

Our client, AFF Holdco Pty Ltd t/as Australian Food & Fibre (AFF), is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Motor Mechanics to join their team. This position plays a key role in the maintenance, testing, and repair of diesel motors and mechanical components of heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems in a variety of vehicles and equipment.
2. Dismantle and reassemble engines and components, identifying worn or faulty parts and carrying out necessary repairs or replacements.
3. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, system checks, and fluid top-ups.
4. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
5. Ensure all vehicles are maintained to a high standard and kept clean and serviceable.
6. Order necessary parts and materials within delegated budgets.
7. Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear at all times.
8. Coordinate daily workshop tasks and support other team members as needed.

Requirements

1. Relevant trade qualification
2. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills.
4. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication and attention to detail.
