Description:
Palace Hotel Wagin is seeking an experienced, dedicated and qualified full-time Cook to join their dynamic team at their restaurant.
Duties:
• Assisting other chefs in the kitchen
• Unpacking deliveries and storing food ingredients in the proper location
• Measuring ingredients for different recipes before the restaurant opens
• Prepare and cook food for service from lunch and dinner
• Preparing food items, such as meat, by adding flavours and seasonings before cooking
• Chopping vegetables and fruits before opening to create a faster cooking experience
• Answer, report and follow chef’s instructions
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Cleaning and sterilising food stations daily to create a safe and healthy cooking environment
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a cook
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
• Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to handle work under pressure
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
A remuneration package is between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation, negotiated depending on skills and experience.
