Disability Support Worker - Swansea

Are you a compassionate, experienced support worker looking to make a difference in someone’s life? We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable female Support Worker to join our team in the Swansea area to provide high-intensity physical support to an individual with a spinal cord injury (SCI).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, including assistance with dressing, bathing, and grooming.
• Carry out mobility transfers safely and efficiently.
• Support with inactive sleepover shifts (Sunday 9pm - 9:30am).
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required.
• Provide companionship and support with hobbies and interests, such as cars and football.

Shift Timings:

• Sunday: 9pm - 9:30am (sleepover shift)
• Wednesday: 5am - 9:15am
• Saturday: 5am - 9:15am

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Complex Bowel Support
• Mobility Support
• Manual Handling
• Spinal Injury Experience

Required Licences/Credentials

• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid driver’s licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance - mandatory
• NSW Working With Children - Employee
• NDIS Worker Screening Check - Employee
• Completion of NDIS Quality, Safety, and You module
