The Sexual Health and Sexual Assault Service at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
To participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the Sexual Health and Sexual Assault Service. You will deliver high standards of clinical and non-clinical services to individuals, families and stakeholders within the local community. You will actively participate in developing strategies and contribute to key performance indicators in monitoring and reducing rates of sexually transmitted infections within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
About the Team
The Sexual Health and Sexual Assault Service operate on a framework of comprehensive primary health care and collaborative chronic disease care. The clinic activities encompass providing health promotion, disease prevention and treatment in all areas of Sexual Health and Sexual assault. Equity of access to appropriate and affordable services along with client advocacy, education and community development is also promoted.
