Bundamba State Secondary College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated leader to join our team as Head of Department - Student Services.
In this role, you will encompass working across both the junior and senior phases of learning, in close collaboration with the school-based support team and, where appropriate, external agencies. The successful applicant will lead the development and implementation of effective intervention strategies and support plans that promote positive learning behaviours and engagement for all students.
This is a temporary full-time position, offered until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
As the Head of Department - Student Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Being an active member of the school's Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) team.
- Analysing data and collaborating with the Deputy Principal to lead the development and implementation of appropriate tiered intervention strategies, including tracking academic engagement, attendance, and behaviour.
- Contributing to student support team meetings and supporting a whole-school approach to wellbeing.
- Case-managing identified students to coordinate wrap-around supports and monitor progress.
- Leading and overseeing co-curricular and extra-curricular programs to build a culture of belonging.
- Working closely with parents and caregivers to achieve shared goals for student success.
