About your opportunity:
In this position you will provide general practitioner services and oral health care for eligible patients, both adult and child, within the delivery system for public sector oral health care in Queensland.
About your role:
- Provide high quality general practitioner oral health services to paediatric patients at least one day a week, including completed full courses of care and acceptance of referrals from therapists for treatment outside of therapist scope of practice.
- Provide leadership and direction of personnel working within your oral health team. Also maintain and apply effective interpersonal skills to facilitate the provision of a friendly, caring environment for the treatment of patients/clients.
- Participate in quality and service delivery and improvement activities including but not exclusive to Performance and Development, Accreditation, and other Quality activities, within scope of practice at the local service delivery area.
- Support and participate in clinical and oral health promotion initiatives that focus on the prevention of dental disease for individuals and the target population.
- Provide mentorship and supervision of dental students if required.
- To utilise and ensure compliance with contemporary human resource management practice and principles including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti- discrimination requirements.
