Description:
The Customer Contact Centre is the first point of contact for many Victorians seeking Information from the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).
As a member of the Customer Contact Team, you will be responding to enquiries from the Victorian public via telephone, and digital channels. You will also be providing Victorians with information including provision of information about Emergency incidents via the Victorian Emergency Hotline.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be strongly reliable, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and a proven ability to perform under pressure while providing outstanding customer service in a contact centre environment.
As part of a busy and vibrant team, you will be required to be available to work primarily from Monday to Friday, but also on weekends in response to emergency incidents. Shift lengths may be up to 12 hours and may occur at any time in a 24-hour period 7 days per week.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience in a contact centre environment
- Demonstrated ability working with Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint and Customer Relationship Management Systems.
There are 5 x ongoing positions and 1 x fixed term position available until 22 March 2026. The work location for this position is Ballarat, with hybrid work arrangements available.
