As the E-Commerce Manager at the Tasmania Football Club (TFC), you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting our growing supporter base with the club, driving retail sales and amplifying our brand through multiple digital touchpoints.With TFC entering the AFL and AFLW, we’re building something truly historic. This role isn’t about maintaining the status quo—it’s about creating new standards. You’ll lead the charge in building our online retail strategy, elevating the fan experience, and fostering a deeper emotional connection between members and our club.
Your RoleWe’re looking for a creative and commercially minded digital leader who thrives in a start-up environment. Someone who gets excited about the idea of turning a blank canvas into a dynamic, high-performing e-commerce ecosystem. You’ll drive online retail sales, develop strategic campaigns that spark fandom, and ensure member interactions are smooth, exciting, and on-brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesE-Commerce Growth & Strategy• Design and deliver pricing, product, and campaign strategies that grow sales, deepen member engagement and generate new membership.• Source and collaborate with suppliers on retail development that reflects the heart of Tasmania and the spirit of our club.• Pitch new ranges and fan-driven product ideas to the GM Marketing with clear timelines, pricing models, and activation plans.
Fan-Centric Customer Experience• Champion a first-class digital service experience, from order to unboxing.• Develop customer service systems and processes that are fast, friendly, and feedback-driven.• Turn customer insights into enhancements that exceed expectations.
Digital Marketing & Campaigns• Plan and launch bold and engaging promotions across email, social, paid media, and the club’s online store inline with brand guidelines and other marketing activities.• Collaborate with the marketing team and agency partners to deliver content and promotional materials, ensuring consistent brand messaging and visuals across all platforms.• Use performance data and customer feedback to continuously optimise campaigns and storytelling.
E-Commerce Platform & User Experience• Own the functionality and evolution of the TFC online store—ensuring it’s fast, secure, and enjoyable to use.• Collaborate with developers and digital partners to elevate the end-to-end user journey, including performance, security and usability.• Keep listings accurate, visually striking, and aligned with our growing range of retail products.• Ensure site navigation, search functionality and checkout processes are optimised.
Inventory & Fulfilment Management• Oversee inventory to ensure the right products are always available, without overstock or delays.• Liaise with suppliers, warehouse providers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations, from order to delivery.• Use data to forecast demand and inform future product planning.
Data-Driven Decision Making• Analyse key metrics like website traffic, conversion, average order values, and lifetime value to fuel growth.• Make smart, strategic decisions backed by robust data insights.Financial Ownership• Build and manage budgets in collaboration with Finance, covering sales, marketing, logistics, inventory, and platform costs.• Report monthly on performance vs targets, with strategic analysis and next steps.

You Bring• 5+ years of E-Commerce and Digital business experience—ideally in sport, fashion, or consumer goods.• Proven experience managing an E-Commerce P&L.• Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar platforms (essential).• Knowledge of key acquisition and analytics platforms for Search, Display, Social (Google, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Google Analytics)• Strong presentation, communication, and agency management skills.• Analytical and creative thinking, with a bias for action.• Familiarity with project management software and workflows.
