Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our Mental Health Service.
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Perinatal Mental Health! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Perinatal Psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the SLHD Mental Health Service as required.
The Staff Specialist will work with the SLHD Perinatal Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS), as part of the larger perinatal psychiatry service within SLHD. The team is dynamic, well-established and provides community-based interventions to women with complex and severe perinatal mental illness. This role will have opportunity to provide clinical leadership, direct clinical care, consultation and teaching.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
