They have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant who has a strong background in Accounts Payable, to become an integral part of their Finance team at their Brookvale Head Office. The Role
  • Responsible for processing payments for the business and its subsidiaries.
  • Process & Reconciliation of stock invoices to Purchase Orders.
  • Raise claims against creditors for any overcharges, short shipments etc.
  • Perform payment runs and upload to the bank for authorisation.
  • Answer and respond to all payment queries from suppliers.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to Pronto Accounts Payable reports & GL.
  • Process international creditor payments, including customs duty, GST and freight charges.
  • Coding and processing expenses for Company Credit Cards Statements
  • Coding of Non-Stock invoices and cross charging when required.
  • Assist with the year-end external audit relating to trade creditors.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial accounts as directed by the company financial accountant.
  • Preparation of monthly sales/purchase reports.
  • Assist with monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Assist with Year End reconciliations and Audit actions
  • Assist AR team during periods of high workload or employee leave.
To be eligible you will have:
  • Excellent teamwork across the organisation, interpersonal, and communication skills particularly in the explanation of accounting concepts to other stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated internal and external customer service, administrative and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and prioritisation skills.
  • Excel skills intermediate to advanced.
  • Previous accounts payable and accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a consumer electronics retail/ wholesale business.
  • Pronto experience highly desirable.
