About the Company:
Based on the Northern Gold Coast, our client is a market leader in process cooling solutions and mechanical services, supporting industries such as power generation, petrochemical, resources, and sugar. Known for their bespoke designs, in-house technical expertise, and outstanding project delivery, they are trusted by major clients across Australia and New Zealand.
Due to sustained growth and a healthy project pipeline, they now have a newly created opportunity for a Project Controls Coordinator to join their dynamic and innovative team.
About the Role:
This position will suit a highly organised and detail-focused Project Controls professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with Project Management, Estimating, and Finance teams to ensure project budgets, schedules, and reporting processes are tightly managed and aligned with overall business objectives.
Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of complex mechanical and infrastructure projects across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Coordinate client invoicing and manage subcontractor claims.
  • Support procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of project materials and services.
  • Generate internal project control reports to support decision-making and project analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and contributions to project tenders.
  • Manage project scope variations and ensure financial impacts are accurately tracked.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Prepare accurate and timely progress and cost reports for client submissions.
  • Provide broader support to the Project Management team across all project phases.

About You:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, or Project Coordination roles.
  • Strong background in Maintenance, Construction, or Mechanical Services sectors (highly regarded).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word).
  • Practical knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls methodologies.
  • Skilled in the use of project scheduling software such as MS Project.
  • Hands-on experience working with cost management systems.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and financial information clearly.
  • Previous experience working on Schedule of Rates and/or Cost Plus contracts is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
