Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) enables these businesses (our Selling Partners) to hand over the heavy lifting of warehousing, payment processing, delivery, returns and customer service to Amazon, utilizing the capabilities that Amazon has built over the last 25 years.Have you ever wondered how Amazon delivers so quickly, or if delivery speeds could improve even further? The Australian FBA team is seeking a highly motivated, data-driven Product Manager to drive improvement of FBA Inventory placement. We innovate for our customers to enhance product availability and speed while reducing costs and carbon emissions on the end-to-end supply chain from Selling Partners. This role will give you a unique view into Amazon Inbound and Inventory Placement systems, processes, and operations, enabling collaboration with business, planning, operations, and technical teams.
A successful Product Manager must have exceptional data skills, strong analytical abilities, relationship building and communication skills, an ability to work under tight deadlines, a track record of delivering results, and be an independent self-starter. This role will be instrumental in improving operational efficiency and reducing end-to-end Supply Chain cost between Seller shipment initiation, Amazon warehousing, and delivery of their products to the end customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end Product management of FBA inventory placement in Australia
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations, Tech, Product to improve product placement, enhance Seller experience and optimize end-to-end Supply Chain costs
- Audit and hold other internal teams accountable through metrics, meetings, processes (e.g. SOPs or automation) and effectively communicate with key stakeholders.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and track key metrics for FBA inventory placement
- Create and maintain dashboards for real-time monitoring of operational metrics
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership team in Australia
A day in the life
- Collaborate with other Program or Product Managers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Account managers, Finance Analysts to develop the right mechanisms to work backwards from a business goal
- Partner with Supply Chain, Ops and Tech teams to prioritize impactful insights or get support for an initiative
- Understand the Supply Chain set-up of Selling Partners and carriers to create solutions that bring end-to-end value
- Monitor key metrics, analyze large data sets independently and provide explanations when anomalies occur
- Design and coordinate data-driven experiments to drive innovation
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance updates

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities with experience using qualitative and quantitative skills to develop product/ program strategies- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- MBA / Master’s degree with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering
- Experience building business cases for products and features, and analyzing performance
- Prior experience working in Product Management, Consulting, Supply chain, Investment Banking or related industries
- Experience with Python
