Under the direction of the Research and Program Director, ARIIA, the Research Fellow will be responsible for contributing to ARIIA by managing the research, implementation and evaluation and dissemination activities for the ARIIA Aged Care Collaborative Flagship Grants, with a focus on the Flagship 1 project – Flexible Leadership. The incumbent will also be involved in preparing documentation, and collaborating with the various key stakeholders involved, to successfully deliver Flagship project milestones.
The primary focus of this non-traditional research fellow role is to support the delivery of the Flagship grant program and its implementation in testing sites within the Aged Care sector to understand the enablers and barriers to large scale translation, adaption and adoption of evidence-based activities of the grant to make meaningful change and improve care and service delivery for the sector.

Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) continues to transform the way we care for Older Australians. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, ARIIA delivers activities across three workstreams to improve aged care for all Australians. Bringing together consumers, industry and researchers, ARIIA translates research into practice to modernise and pave the way for sector wide improvements, making a real and meaningful change to the aged care sector.
About You
Responsible for supporting the marketing, communications, and dissemination activities of ARIIA in lay language to various audiences, you can effectively establish and maintain relationships and collaborate with stakeholders within the aged care, industry, and education sector, supporting the work of ARIIA.
You have experience assisting in the development of ethics, research applications, and publication, whilst contributing to ARIIA by managing the research, implementation, evaluation and dissemination activities and preparing documentation, to successfully deliver Flagship project milestones.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
Undertaking appraisal and synthesis of research and grey literature and practice resources on topics identified by ARIIA and preparing associated lay summaries, dissemination outputs, reports and publications. Undertaking co-design activities to support aged care workforce to embed evidence into practice in ways that are meaningful to the aged care sector. Contributing to the design, development and conduct of evaluation activities relating to the ACC Flagship and ARIIA. Independently contributing to preparing and submitting publishable reports on relevant activities as required.Life at Flinders
