THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $42.18 - $45.80 + 11.5% super.
Location: Chadstone, Glen Waverley and Moorabbin campuses.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Casual appointment.
The Student Life Officer plays a vital role in enriching the student experience by designing and implementing diverse events, interactive activities, and trips that foster a strong sense of community and engagement. By collaborating with teaching, engagement, and support departments, the role ensures that student-centered programs effectively complement academic life. It also drives student voice initiatives and expands partnership programs to empower learners in shaping their educational journey. In addition, the position works closely with the Student Communications team to promote student activities and encourage broad participation. ABOUT YOU
Relevant qualifications or experience in student support, events, communications, or administration, along with a valid driver’s licence.
Strong understanding of the student lifecycle, with experience in fostering a sense of community and belonging in a diverse educational environment.
Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver events, activities, or projects, ensuring smooth execution while managing risks and logistics.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and stakeholders professionally and effectively.
Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Initiative to work independently or in a team, with a problem-solving mindset and creative approach to challenges.
Competence in using MS Office, databases, and social media to enhance student engagement and communication.
