We are excited to partner with a leading organisation to find their next People & Culture Manager in this pivotal leadership role central to business strategy.This is more than a traditional HR position. The successful candidate will lead a talented team, foster a culture of excellence, and drive strategic People & Culture initiatives that significantly impact organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and long-term growth.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will influence decision-making at the highest level while overseeing critical functions such as talent acquisition, workforce planning, People Advisory, payroll, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities for this Role
- Provide expert advice on industrial and employee relations, including Fair Work matters and union engagement;
- Deliver high-quality People & Culture support, processes, and guidance across all transactional HR activities;
- Develop and execute people-focused strategies that improve business outcomes and drive workforce transformation;
- Embed initiatives and programs within a structured, fit-for-purpose People Cycle framework;
- Lead the design and implementation of talent and succession processes to attract, retain, and engage top talent;
- Maintain accurate and actionable people data to inform workforce planning and strategic initiatives;
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team across People Advisory, Workforce Planning, and Payroll;
- Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, offering strategic advice on performance, conflict resolution, and employee relations; and
- Oversee HR systems and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and audit requirements.
The ideal candidate must have
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources, or a related field;
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar HR leadership role, ideally within dynamic or customer-facing industries;
- Extensive experience advising on award interpretation, employee relations case management and investigations;
- Proven experience leading and developing a team, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and performance outcomes;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels;
- Advanced proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to manage data-driven decision-making; and
- Knowledge of the events management or hospitality industry is beneficial.
