The role:
We are seeking Specialist /Consultant Anaesthetists to join one of Australia's most advanced anaesthesia departments at a state-of-the-art facility.
As a Specialist/Senior Specialist in Anaesthesia, you will be part of a progressive department providing high-quality anaesthetic care in a rapidly expanding tertiary setting.
International Medical Graduates assessed by ANZCA as Substantially Comparable / ANZCA interview date confirmed. UK trained - CCT expedited pathway – will be considered.

The team is growing to meet the evolving demands of the community, with the exciting expansion into the new Critical Services Building (CSB) — a world-class, 40,000 sqm facility featuring a CT Hybrid OR, intraoperative neurosurgical MRI, and state-of-the-art digital operating theatres.

About the Role
As Specialist/Senior Specialist in Anaesthesia, you will:

• Provide high-quality specialist anaesthetic services across the Health Services campuses.
• Participate in the after-hours and weekend rosters.
• Lead and participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
• Contribute to the supervision and education of junior doctors, nursing staff, and students.
• Collaborate with colleagues across surgical, medical, and intensive care specialties.

Senior Staff Specialist applicants are expected to demonstrate significant leadership skills, involvement in quality, safety, education, research activities, and active participation in hospital service development.

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists- FANZCA OR
