Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are looking for dedicated and flexible Support Workers to join our compassionate team. As a Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care and support to clients across Newcastle, Maitland, and the Central Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential care to clients, including personal care, medication assistance, and support with daily living activities.
  • Utilize manual handling skills, including proficiency with sling hoists, to ensure the safety and comfort of clients.
  • Assist with bowel care, such as suppositories, enemas, and digital stimulation (training provided).
  • Provide catheter care, including cleaning and ensuring proper catheter function to prevent infections (training provided).
  • Travel between Newcastle, Maitland, and the Central Coast as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis and be adaptable to changing shift schedules.
  • Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude toward on-call work.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn manual handling techniques and essential care practices (training provided).
  • Availability to commit to ongoing, permanent hours.

Roster for Two Weeks: We have two roles available for either role you will need to be available for both week 1 and week 2

Permanent ongoing hours ROLE 1:
  • Week 1
    • Thursday - 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
    • Friday - 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
    • Saturday - 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
    • Sunday - 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Week 2
    • Friday - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    • Saturday - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    • Sunday - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Permanent ongoing hours ROLE 2:
  • Week 1
    • Monday 6am - 2pm
    • Tuesday 6am - 2pm
    • Wednesday 6am - 2pm
Week 2
    • Thursday 6am - 2pm
    • Friday 6am - 2pm
    • Saturday 6am - 2pm
    • Sunday 6am - 2pm
