Due to a promotion, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic Parts Manager to lead our parts department and ensure top-tier service to our customers. You’ll be responsible for delivering spare parts efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs on time, every time. You’ll guide a high-performance team with a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, expense control, and more!
What You’ll Do:
- Lead with safety in mind: Perform quarterly safety and 5S audits, tackling any non-conformance head-on.
- Build strong relationships: Attend monthly meetings and visit smaller fleet customers quarterly to maintain top-notch service.
- Control expenses: Keep an eye on costs by reviewing monthly expenses and identifying areas for savings.
- Foster growth: Mentor your team, support their development, and encourage ongoing training.
- Maintain excellence: Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to ensure stock integrity and accurate picking.
- Hit your targets: Manage and review monthly KPIs to drive team performance.
- Seek growth: Identify opportunities for incremental sales and create strategies to increase revenue.
- Engage the team: Help roll out new initiatives and build enthusiasm across the branch.
What you will bring:
- Proven Leadership: Experience managing a parts department, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Strong Communication Skills: Well-developed numeracy, written, and verbal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to forecast sales performance and implement strategies for business improvement and budget preparation.
- Customer-Focused: Professional demeanour for communicating with senior-level customers and providing exceptional service.
- Inventory & Warehouse Expertise: Proven experience managing inventory control and utilising warehouse systems.
- Tech Savvy: Above-average proficiency with both mainframe and personal computers.
- Time Management Pro: Strong organisational skills with a commitment to accuracy and high standards of presentation.
- Team Builder: Ability to lead, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date expertise in parts, accessories, and the logistics of operating a trade distribution system.
