We are seeking an experienced Educational Manager to join the Future, Industry and Trade team based at Urrbrae Campus.

About the role
Reporting to the Faculty Dean, the Educational Manager is an experienced leader passionate about driving change in education and vocational training. We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to lead and mentor a team of subject matter experts in shaping the future of vocational education.
The role holder will-
- Lead and mentor a team of subject matter experts, drawing out their knowledge and expertise to drive strategic change and elevate education and training offerings.
- Align education and training with workforce needs, government priorities, and evolving industry trends to ensure that education is always relevant and impactful.
- Communicate confidently and persuasively with stakeholders, ensuring the continuous development and success of the program.
- Champion the practical application of educational philosophy, theory, and research, ensuring that our training remains cutting-edge and impactful.
- Drive innovation in curriculum development, teaching strategies, and program delivery to create transformative learning experiences.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies and contribute to the discipline expertise needed to deliver quality education programs.
- Ensure that educational programs meet the training requirements of clients and adhere to relevant standards, TAFE SA policies, and regulations.
- Play a key role in enhancing vocational preparation and educational delivery through the implementation of up-to-date curriculum, training packages, and practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, government bodies, schools, universities, and professional organisations to stay ahead of current and emerging training and education requirements.
- Manage resources—including human, physical, and financial—effectively in line with departmental and government policies.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that supports continuous improvement in vocational education and training programs.
- Lead performance management processes, including coaching and development, to ensure the growth of your team and the overall success of the organisation.

The successful candidate must have:
- An undergraduate degree in Adult or Vocational Education, and
- A Diploma in Management (Min AQF5) or a Graduate Certificate in Management
Or
- Undergraduate degrees in both Adult or Vocational Education and Management
- Undergraduate Degree and formal Post Graduate qualifications in Adult or Vocational Education and Management
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Out of hours work will be required.
- Intrastate and interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
