About Our School

Marist Catholic College North Shore (MCCNS), is a coeducational K-12 Catholic Secondary School in the Archdiocese of Sydney, imbuing the faith life, values, work ethic and pragmatism of St. Marcellin Champagnat.

MCCNS is experiencing an unprecedented increase in enrolment having embarked on a transformative educational project, including the opening of our new, state of the art, educational buildings. With an increased and coeducational cohort, a broader subject selection, and therefore the creation of more teaching and learning roles, the College is preparing and recruiting for an innovative future.

Position Highlights

The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.

This full-time Year 2 role is scheduled to commence on Monday, 21 July 2025 (Term 3 or earlier by negotiation) . We welcome applications from recent graduates as well.

About You

As a Classroom Teacher - Year 2 , you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
  • utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.

You will have attained:

  • a tertiary qualification in Education
  • eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
