Join our vibrant team at Windermere Reserve Kindergarten as a passionate and experienced Cert 3 or Diploma Educator. We’re seeking an enthusiastic Educator who embraces a child-led philosophy and is committed to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our dedicated 3-Year-Old Teacher and fellow educators, you will work as a part of the 3 year old team. Responsibilities:Ability to design, implement, and evaluate a holistic curriculum in line with the National Quality Framework where each child’s current knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests are the foundation of a play-based learning environment.
Promote and support inclusive practice to ensure that the service can support families from a range of cultures, backgrounds, experiences, and situations.
Develop and maintain effective and respectful relationships with children, families, early childhood professionals, and regulatory departments, and maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Undertake mandatory reporting to adhere to child protection guidelines and responsibilities.
Record observations of individual children and groups, assess learning, and use for program planning as part of a team to educate and support our 3 year old group.
Operate within the requirements of the organisation’s policies and procedures, as well as funding and regulatory requirements.
Provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment and ensure that children are supervised at all times.
Be actively involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the organisation.
Work in accordance with the standards outlined in the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) Code of Ethics, and Windermere Reserve Kindergarten child safe standards.
Support the embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in all aspects of the curriculum.


Duties:

Be responsible to the committee of management (employer) for the development and delivery of the programs for which they are responsible.
Operate within the requirements of the preschool’s policies and procedures, as well as funding and regulatory requirements and the budget allocation.
Be actively involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the service.
Other duties as directed by the Committee of Management from time-to-time.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through reflective practice.
Demonstrate professionalism and ethical conduct in their interactions with children, families, and colleagues.
Uphold ethical standards.
Liaise with relevant early childhood services and other professional services and organisations within the community.
Participate in ongoing professional development and seek opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education.

This position is permanent part time, Monday and Wednesday - sessions 8.30am - 4.00pm Total - 17.5 hours per week

Shift times will commence and end half an hour before and after session times, with remaining non-contact time negotiated with successful candidates The successful candidate will support and work closely alongside our Teachers, Administration & Payroll Officer and the Committee of Management to deliver high quality support for our children.

Qualifications:

Completed an approved Diploma in Education and Care qualification
Hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check
Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting)
Successfully completed ‘Protecting Children - Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector’ training
Have a well-developed understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and National Regulations
