The Executive Manager, Fleet is responsible for the management, coordination and administering of the Fleet programs, activities and budgets to meet the operational needs of the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).The Executive Manager, Fleet will work in collaboration with the other business areas, in particular with the QAS regions to assist in the development, implementation and refinement of effective fleet strategies and programs. The Executive Manager, Fleet is responsible for leading and managing a specialist team of staff to provide effective fleet services across the QAS.
It is expected that the position will provide a superior level of support to the Director Fleet and Equipment in the preparation of budgets, maintenance and service schedules and effective and efficient acquisition, maintenance, utilisation and disposal of fleet and equipment.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated capabilities and experience in implementing fleet and equipment programs and strategies in a complex environment working with a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to translate the needs of operational officers into functional products and services that are fit for purpose and operationally appropriate.
- Well-developed conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret trend/output/outcome performance data to drive performance improvement.
- Innovative and analytical approach to problem-solving, with flexibility and agility in a rapidly changing and sensitive environment. Ability to provide expert analytical advice and recommendations to senior executives.
- Exceptional skills in communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration, including the ability to prepare high-level correspondence, presentations, and reports. Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribution to corporate governance, strategic documents, and operational policies. Ability to offer expert input into broader QAS corporate governance and lead innovation in project planning.
