Primary objective
The Recruitment Support Officer provides high level recruitment and workforce support services to assist the Greater
Darwin Region leadership team to achieve strategic workforce objectives.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide accurate, timely and practical advice, service and support to managers, directors and potential applicants in
- Provide secretarial support to recruitment panels, including scheduling of interviews, preparing documents and the
- Undertake bulk recruitment programs, including recruitment coordination, proofing and editing job descriptions and be
- Undertake quality checks on recruitment documentation, including legislative requirements, merit selection and
- Maintain up to date organisational charts, and develop and provide monthly recruitment reports to the managers and
- Support the Recruitment Officer with workforce development tasks.
- Assist in delivering the Department’s statutory welfare group responses in accordance with the Emergency Management
- Any other duties as directed by the Business Manager or Recruitment Officer.
Essential
- Understanding and knowledge of the legislation and policies that directly relate to recruitment and retention programs.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection practices including the coordination of bulk recruitment rounds
- Demonstrated focus on the provision of excellent customer service in a fast paced, high volume work area.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible to changing approaches and directions to achieve regional priorities and be responsive
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including high level report writing, with the capacity
- Ability to work effectively and professionally in a self-managed team environment; work under pressure and display
- Demonstrated high level of organisation skills, including the ability to reprioritise tasks to meet regional priorities.
- Demonstrated high level of computing skills with proficiency in a range of relevant computer and mainframe applications,
Desirable
Tertiary Qualifications In Human Resources Or Related Field.
