This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a tight-knit, supportive team in a well-established manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in the ongoing maintenance, repairs, and reliability of critical plant machinery and equipment. With a strong focus on preventative maintenance and root cause analysis, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to continuous improvement across the site.

Adecco is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client—an established name in industrial plastics manufacturing—for a skilled and self-driven Maintenance Electrician to join their high-performing team in Perth. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity in a modern manufacturing environment with a strong culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
You’ll be working a rotating shift roster: two weeks on day shift (7:00am – 3:30pm), followed by one week on afternoon shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm), with 20% loading for afternoon shifts. Occasional callouts may be required, with a phone allowance in place and potential EBA negotiations underway for night work support. While overtime is limited, Saturday work may return in future depending on site needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing faults and managing breakdowns of production machinery and equipment
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on plant systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, and cylinders
- Supporting new machinery installations and general mechanical upgrades
- Participating in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining inventory of critical spare parts and completing all job-related documentation
- Following safe work practices and contributing to a clean, compliant factory environment
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitter, Machinist, or Turner)
- Strong fault-finding skills and mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or plastics/food production environment
- Good working knowledge of pneumatic systems (hydraulics a bonus)
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and contribute to a small, high-performing team
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and participate in an after-hours on-call roster as needed
