To support this momentum, they are seeking a skilled and proactive Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance and help safeguard the integrity of their operations.
The Role
The Compliance Manager will play a key role in fostering a strong culture of compliance, risk awareness, and regulatory integrity across the organisation. This hands-on position requires a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and managing compliance risks, while ensuring the business remains aligned with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Duties include:
- Stay updated on all Australian financial services and credit regulations, including NCCP, AFSL, ASIC, ASUTRAC and ACL requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to these regulations.
- Establish and maintain a compliance monitoring program to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and systems.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on compliance status to the senior management team, regulators, and licensing authorities as required.
- Identify and assess regulatory and operational risks specific to the Australian market and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Establish and manage a robust breach reporting system and process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant authorities.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Prior experience within the consumer lending industry, with a focus on AFSL, NCCP, ACL compliance
- Deep knowledge of Australian financial services
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
