About the Region

About the roles
Based in Kingaroy
Maximum Term Full Time (up to 12 months)
$71K- $75K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking an officer to to provide professional administrative services supporting the effective and efficient operation of the Infrastructure Department. The role will provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers including responding to enquiries promptly and professionally. Providing assistance in the delivery of the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Department through administrative support to the General Manager Infrastructure, Infrastructure Managers and Coordinator Infrastructure Services. Manage administrative staff to ensure adequate level of resourcing across the team. The successful applicant will have previous relevant experience in an administration role providing a high level of customer service and support in a busy work environment with proven ability to work effectively within a team, establish work priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated high level of computer skills including sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite and corporate software systems.
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence.

Certificate III in Business Administration

Previous relevant experience in an administration role providing a high level of customer service and support in a busy work environment.
Ability to research and acquire knowledge of Council functions, processes, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
High level of computer skills including sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite and corporate software systems.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team, establish work priorities and meet deadlines.
Sound interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to negotiate a variety of outcomes with individuals at all levels.
