Fixed-Term (12 Months) | Part Time | 20 hours per fortnight (Mon and Tues 8.00am - 1.00pm)
Premium Recquatic Membership and 12.5% Superannuation
This position is classified as a PACS Band 2 ($61,866 - $66,065 per annum, pro rata) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

About The Role
An amazing opportunity has been created for an experienced Moorditj Kulungar Playgroup Assistant (50D) to join the Library Services team at the City of Kwinana. Reporting to the Library Programs Senior Team Leader, this fixed-term part-time position is responsible for collaborating with the Playleader/Aboriginal Support Worker to provide the Moorditj Kulungar Playgroup with a culturally safe space to learn, grow and connect.
About You
To make an impact in this role, you will have:
Ability to provide care for and engage with children.
Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
Possession of current Provide First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
Possession of current Working with Children Check, current Drivers Licence, and National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old).
Understanding of early childhood development, including health, safety, and nutritional needs (desirable).
Awareness of National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (desirable).
Previous experience working within an Aboriginal community (desirable).
