Suncorp Group are seeking a Governance Advisor to join our Governance team based in Brisbane on a fixed term contact. This is a 12 month secondment opportunity.
The Governance team collaborate with Insurance Operations and other business units to support the creation and maintenance of contracts/Statements of Work (SOWs).
What You’ll Do:
Governance Advisors are accountable for several governance activities related to Partner management which include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as a conduit between stakeholders, 1st Line of Defence Risk, Group Partnering and partnered teams in the provision of governance advisory services to maintain the SOWs
- End to end on and off boarding of Partners
- Facilitation of the governance of Onshore and Offshore Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), Workers Reference Guide (WRGs) and Quality Standard Documents (QSDs)
- Maintenance of the Governance Hub (SPO) to ensure internal and external stakeholders have access to the most up to date information relative to SOWs
- Participation in Governance Meetings (Fortnightly & Monthly) as well as administration tasks required to have these meetings run effectively
- Maintain of relevant risk documentation e.g. Risk Assessment Decision Matrix, Materiality Assessment, IRAT, PIA, BIA etc.
- Monitoring and maintenance of partners system access e.g., DOA, learning matrices, role templates etc.
- Support timely review and completion Operational Recovery Plans (ORP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) administration for Partners
What You Bring to the Table:
To succeed in this role and thrive in our team, you'll need:
- Previous position in a risk, quality monitoring or business support role - desired
- Previous insurance experience - desired
- Prior experience with Partnered Teams – desired
- Sound knowledge of the Insurance Operations and D&NP business
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse nationalities
- Planning and organisation skills – working within JIRA or similar to plan and complete tasks to successfully show productivity
- Effective change management skills including the ability to manage self and others through change, and thrive in ambiguous, complex and changing systems / ways of work
- Confident and decisive with high attention to detail
- Good communication skills, demonstrated through active listening and ability to tailor communication to the audience.
