Located right on the waterfront, The Strand Hotel Yeppoon is a local favourite with unbeatable ocean views, fresh modern pub fare, and a buzzing atmosphere. We’re building a passionate and skilled kitchen team and are now hiring for Sous Chef and Chef de Partie roles.

We’re Looking For – Sous Chef

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role
  • Confident managing service and supporting Head Chef with day-to-day operations
  • Strong understanding of stock control, ordering, and kitchen systems
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality dishes and supporting team development
  • Creative flair with input into menu development and specials

We’re Looking For – Chef De Partie

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to confidently run your own section during service
  • Reliable, calm under pressure, and takes pride in presentation
  • Keen to learn, grow, and support the team
  • High standards of food safety and hygiene
