About the Position: Step into a role where your accumulated knowledge of ecology, field procedures and taxonomy can make a significant impact:

  • Ensure the precision of our WildNet database, collaborating with partners such as the Queensland Herbarium and the Australian Faunal Directory.
  • Synthesise essential additional information on Queensland's diverse species by engaging with literature and consulting with experts.
  • Evaluate data contributions meticulously, liaising with a network of professionals to curate information that informs environmental decisions.
  • Guide the department through taxonomic changes and the nuances of managing biodiversity data.
