Accounts Payable Officer

Your New Company/Role:

As one of the established industry leaders, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts payable Officer to join their growing team, based in Artarmon 2064. This is a 1 month temporary (subject to extension/permanency). The successful candidate must have exposure in end to end accounts payable duties alongside working with backlogs.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Manager:

Your duties include:

• Full-function accounts payable, from invoice processing to payment runs
• Managing and reconciling supplier accounts
• Processing backlog invoices efficiently and accurately
• Handling supplier queries and ensuring timely issue resolution
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Working collaboratively within the finance team and liaising with internal stakeholders
• Assisting the accounts receivable team when required
• Any other reasonable duties that may be required

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Payable duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:

• Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience in bulk invoice processing and dealing with backlogs
• Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
• Experience with large ERP systems - Sage software is highly preferred but not mandatory

• $35 - $42 + Super (based on experience) [competitive salary once gone permanent]
