Join a leading Retail Group as their new Finance Business Partner on an initial 12-month contract with a view to permanency; you’ll play a critical role in driving commercial performance and strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities
- Partner with key stakeholders across merchandising, operations, and supply chain to influence strategic and financial outcomes;
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, delivering accurate and timely insights;
- Analyse sales, margin, and cost performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities;
- Provide actionable insights through dashboards and financial models to support data-driven decision-making;
- Develop business cases for new initiatives, capital investments, and commercial projects;
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks;
- Ensure alignment with group finance and statutory requirements, supporting audit and compliance activity;
- Mentor and support junior finance team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement; and
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and ad hoc analysis to support business priorities.
- CFA/CA/CPA qualified;
- 5–7+ years’ experience in commercial finance, ideally within retail or FMCG;
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly;
- Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills; experience with BI/reporting tools advantageous; and
- Strong commercial acumen, with a hands-on approach and solution-focused mindset.
