To continue this growth and maintain high performance, they are now seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team at their facility in the South Western suburbs of Sydney.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Engineering and being part of the Site Leadership Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the plant's maintenance strategy.
- Leading and developing the maintenance team, ensuring KPIs related to OEE, machine reliability, uptime, stoppages, and OH&S are met.
- Training the maintenance team in fault-finding techniques, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone Diagrams, and other methodologies to foster a proactive maintenance culture.
- Overseeing the life cycle management of site assets, including addressing obsolescence and capital upgrades.
- Conducting thorough machine analysis to identify and predict potential issues before they occur.
- Providing proactive health and safety leadership in all aspects of asset management, from design through to workplace safety documentation and management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or a similar discipline), though candidates with trade qualifications and the relevant experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally in FMCG.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies that foster a proactive and preventative maintenance culture.
- Formal qualifications or training in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies such as 5S, Lean, and/or Six Sigma.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to lead and manage large teams of maintenance trades within a manufacturing setting.
