Description:

About the National Judicial College of Australia
The National Judicial College of Australia (NJCA) is a respected not-for-profit organisation, established in 2002 to develop and deliver education programs for judicial officers across all court hierarchies and jurisdictions.
Based at the ANU College of Law in Canberra, NJCA plays a critical role in enhancing the capability of Australia’s judiciary by providing high-quality, skills-based training to judicial officers nationwide.
The Opportunity
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that sits at the heart of Australia's judicial education system. As the Judicial Education Administrator, you’ll be part of a passionate and tight-knit team that directly supports high-profile stakeholders across the country.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of a broad range of operational and administrative functions that are central to the delivery of NJCA’s training programs. With over 29 national education programs each year, you will be involved in everything from stakeholder liaison and event coordination to finance administration and compliance reporting.
This is a great opportunity to:
  • Work alongside senior members of the Australian judiciary and legal profession
  • Contribute to national-level programs that strengthen the Australian justice system
  • Enjoy autonomy, trust, and flexibility in a small and dedicated team environment
  • Combine program delivery, stakeholder support and strategic communications work in one role
The Role
Reporting to the CEO and working collaboratively with a team of four, you’ll support day-to-day operations while helping to deliver high-quality education programs and events. Your role will span a broad scope of activities, including:
  • Managing program registrations and maintaining accurate records across databases (Salesforce, TalentLMS, WordPress)
  • Supporting delivery of education programs, including logistics, participant engagement and coordination with presenters
  • Providing secretariat and administrative support for NJCA Council and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings
  • Maintaining compliance obligations including ACNC and ASIC filings
  • Liaising with the external bookkeeper, auditor and CEO to support financial reporting and maintain financial records
  • Assisting in the preparation of strategic documents such as the Annual Report and activity reports to key stakeholders
  • Supporting communications activities including website content, newsletters and social media updates
  • Collaborating on projects such as the Judicial Learning Portal and marketing collateral
The Ideal Person
You are a highly capable and adaptable administrator with a proactive and professional approach. You thrive in small team environments and are comfortable juggling a wide range of responsibilities, including executive support, data management, and event logistics. Your attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to liaise confidently with senior stakeholders will be key to your success.
We're looking for someone who demonstrates:
  • Experience in office management, executive assistance, or coordination roles (legal or professional services background ideal but not essential)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • A high level of organisation, initiative, and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Comfort working across financial systems, compliance processes, and digital platforms
Salary / Rate
A competitive salary of $90k – $120k + Super is on offer, commensurate with skills and experience.
NJCA is an outcomes-focused employer offering flexibility, hybrid working arrangements, and the chance to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation.
