This role offers an excellent opportunity for a General Practitioner to work within a collaborative team of health professionals. Based out of one of the providers sites in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, you'll enjoy flexible hours, strong administrative and nursing support, and the ability to build long-term relationships with patients while making a meaningful impact in the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across all age groups.
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions in line with best practice guidelines.
- Conduct routine health checks, screenings, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other GPs, allied health professionals, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities and clinical meetings.
Essential Requirements
- MBBS qualification
- Vocational Registration
- Participation in RACGP QA & CPD activities
- Postgraduate experience as a GP in private practice or community health
- Proven track record of improving clinical outcomes through evidence-based medicine
- Strong understanding of clinical governance frameworks in a primary health care setting
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare billing requirements and compliance for GPs
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement across clinical care, access, and financial performance
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)
- Familiarity with RACGP Accreditation Standards for General Practices
- Initiative in recommending and implementing efficiency improvements within the practice
- Ability to lead or support change management initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
