This role is ideal for a technically strong claims professional who wants to step beyond the transactional and truly advocate for clients across a broad spectrum of general insurance products.
About the role
Reporting to the Claims Team Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of a diverse claims portfolio. You’ll play a strategic role in securing excellent outcomes for clients, while mentoring junior colleagues and building trusted relationships with insurers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing claims across Liability, Construction, Motor (including Dealerships), Commercial Property, Financial Lines, and Travel
- Advocating for clients from lodgement through to settlement
- Analysing policy wordings across different carriers
- Negotiating with insurers, assessors, and legal representatives
- Contributing to client retention, risk insights, and claims reporting
- Supporting and coaching junior claims staff
About you
You’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and a client-first mindset.
We’d love to see:
- 5–7+ years of general insurance claims experience in the commercial space
- Deep knowledge across multiple product lines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
- Tier 1 / Tier 2 qualification or Bachelor of Law (desirable but not essential)
