Specification Sales Manager

A leading building products manufacturer is looking for a driven and strategic Specification Manager to join their dynamic Commercial team. This client-facing role is pivotal to expanding the company's market presence through proactive specification influence and industry engagement. If you thrive on building relationships, delivering impactful presentations, and shaping construction outcomes, this could be your next big opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the commercial and government sectors

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with architects, certifiers, fire engineers, consultants, and other key decision-makers

  • Deliver engaging CPD and technical product presentations to strategic stakeholders

  • Track project specifications and client engagement through CRM tools (Salesforce)

  • Monitor and report on project pipeline activity and KPI performance, including conversion and win rates

  • Proactively respond to evolving market trends and specification challenges

  • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and leadership teams to drive business development initiatives

  • Represent the brand at industry functions, trade shows, and networking events

  • Champion and support the company's sustainability goals and environmental commitments

What We're Looking For
  • 3-4+ years' experience in specification, business development, or technical sales in the construction or building materials industry

  • Demonstrated ability to present to and influence key stakeholders across technical and design disciplines

  • Sound knowledge of building design, compliance regulations, and construction industry dynamics

  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Strong experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive mindset and results-driven approach
