About the role:
The Test Engineers role play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of platforms that support our mission to get energy right for people, communities, and the planet.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Development Teams to design and execute end-to-end testing, both automated and manual to create fast feedback loops and driving issue resolution for new and existing features.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end testing across new and existing features.
- Design, write, and maintain automated test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Manage and configure test environments, including test data setup.
- Support performance testing of cross-platform APIs and applications.
- Continuously improve test automation processes and drive innovation in testing practices.
- Troubleshoot identity and access issues, working closely with Cloud Engineering and AWS-hosted applications.
Skills & Requirements
- Hands-on experience with UI test automation using Playwright or TestCafe, along with strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills.
- Solid experience in API testing (e.g., Postman), containerisation with Docker, and version control with GitHub.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes, ideally Jenkins.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana and collaboration platforms like Jira, Asana, Confluence, and Slack.
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a “can do” attitude and willingness to contribute beyond core responsibilities.
