About the opportunity:
Join a team that helps shape the future of South Australia's mining sector. We’re looking for a proactive Compliance Officer to support the delivery of regulatory services that meet the needs of industry, government, and the community.
In this role, you’ll:
- Interpret and apply legislation and regulations related to the extractive mining industry
- Monitor mining activities to ensure compliance with the Mining Act
- Support industry confidence through consistent regulatory oversight
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, community groups, and other agencies
- Oversee more complex extractive operations, particularly those with greater environmental impacts

Key Selection Criteria:

- Sound understanding of environmental standards, regulatory theory and practice
- Knowledge of legislation governing mining projects in South Australia
- Ability to analyse and assess complex information from a range of sources
- Experience in the use of spatial software for the preparation and presentation of spatial data and maps is desirable.
Qualifications:
A degree relevant to the resources industry such as Mining Engineering, Geology or related Engineering, Geoscience or Environmental Science
Remuneration:
PO2 salary range $88,255 - $97,667 + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
Specific Requirements:
A current SA driver licence is required
