Port Augusta Technical College: Shaping the Future of Technical Education in South Australia
Port Augusta Technical College will be a visionary institution that aims to revolutionize technical education in South Australia. The State Government is investing in  Technical Colleges  that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skills-based training for school-enrolled students. 
Co-located with Port Augusta Secondary School and will open in mid-2025, Port Augusta Technical College will be a part time attendance model for secondary school students within the region to access whilst maintaining their enrolment in their current school.
Port Augusta Technical College will have accommodation facilities on site and offer four industry training programs for careers in civil, resources and infrastructure, health and social support, hospitality and tourism, and multi-trades (for careers such as plumbers, builders, electricians, and boilermakers).

What Will You Do?
This position will focus on the delivery that allows students to fulfil the requirements of the industry training programs delivered at the Technical College. The trainer is accountable to the Multi Trades Specialisation Lead for providing current and authentic industry learning activities and coaching that develop the skills and dispositions required by employers in the workplace.

In collaboration with the Multi Trades Specialisation Lead to implement and evaluate the curriculum of the Industry Training Programs.

Contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of industry experiences, career planning, coaching and mentoring.

Provide advice and assistance to support students with industry connections and opportunities in the workplace.
What you will need:

Proven ability to establish sound and effective relationships and communication with staff, students, parents, and training providers to promote professional dialogue and a collaborative working culture resulting in improved educational outcomes for students.

Proven ability to deliver approaches that foster student engagement and support learner growth.

Extensive successful experience working within your specific trade/professional area
